WILDLIFE

It all began with a passion for birds and their habitat - especially the Guelph moraine and the Grand River watershed. Having witnessed rapid loss of bird habitat and populations first hand, these images highlight their fragile beauty, create awareness, and promote stewardship of our created world.

One of the great joys of photography is stumbling upon truly magnificent people along the way. From Rolly Halliburton to Todd Filek and Howard Gibbs (documented by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and beyond, their characters and fascinating stories give a glimpse, not only of what it means to be Canadian, but of the intrinsic value of human existence itself.

Abandoned vehicles always have story. Sometimes the story can be unearthed, other times not. Often, you have to make up your own.
